Richard Poynter’s Exhibition

Printing with Sunlight

Richard Poynter’s prints utilise a technique used at the dawn of photography, which use no camera or lens. Objects are placed on specific types of photographic papers and placed in sunlight for long periods of time. The images are generated by the reaction between the objects and the photosensitive chemicals in the paper. Each image is unique and unrepeatable.
